Setting Screenshare Permissions (Mac OSX Catalina)

For users of macOS Catalina (10.15) and later.

If you are running macOS Catalina — version 10.15 or later — you must grant access to the new Screen Recording Permission in order to share your screen during a Dive session.

How to enable screen sharing for Dive

When you first share your screen in a Dive session, you’ll be asked to enable the Screen Recording permission for Google Chrome.

When you see the following dialog, click "Open System Preferences".

If you do not see the dialog above or you are unable to screen share, manually open System Preferences, click the "Security and Privacy" icon and then click on "Screen Recording" in the sidebar.

In the Screen Recording section, check the box next to Google Chrome to allow screen sharing for Dive. You may need to click the unlock icon in the bottom-left before changing the setting.

Click "Quit Now". You will have to restart Google Chrome in order to start screen sharing.

Open your Dive session back up. You should now be able to share your screen.
